Henderson has a lot of these: enclosed courtyards, narrow side returns between the house and the block wall, second-floor balconies, small back patios in newer developments where the lot is mostly house.
None will hold a lawn. All take turf.
Turf over concrete or pavers is a different build from ground installation — no excavation, no aggregate base. A drainage layer or foam underlay goes down so water reaches existing drains, then turf is secured with adhesive at perimeter and seams.
The existing surface has to drain already. Turf will not fix a patio that ponds, it will conceal it. We check slope before quoting and tell you if the substrate is the problem.
The narrow run between house and wall is one of our most common small jobs. It gets no use, grows nothing, collects granite and dust, and blows debris into the pool. A hundred and fifty square feet of turf makes it a usable, clean space.
Enclosed front courtyards are common in Henderson developments and are usually shaded for part of the day — which means turf there stays comfortable even in midsummer. Often the best turf location on the whole property.
Balcony turf can be laid loose and cut to fit rather than glued, making it removable at the end of a lease. Mention it at the estimate if you rent.
Small installations carry a higher per-square-foot rate because setup spreads across less area. A typical 150 to 300 square foot patio or courtyard runs $2,000 to $4,800. Pricing detail.
